Web Content Manager Department Registration: Getting Started

Overview

Web Content Manager Department Registration is open now. There are four steps: register for PD credit in LAB, use the link LAB gives you to create your account on our platform, complete the Department WCM Certification course at your own pace, then get access to your department's WCM audit portal and checklist.

Updated process: registration now starts in LAB, Broward's professional development system, so your Certification hours count toward PD credit. LAB will hand you a link to finish creating your account on our platform.

Please complete registration - both in LAB and on our platform - by Friday, August 28, 2026. That's just the registration piece: you don't need to finish the certification course by then, but do get it started. Once your director confirms you, you'll be added to Hot Lab. If you run into any issues registering, let us know right away using the Feedback button described below.

Before you register: confirm your director has designated you as your department's Web Content Manager at bcpsmarcomm.com/wcm-roster-signup. That is a separate, short form your director completes, not something you need to do yourself, but your registration should match what they submit.

How to Register

Go to LAB, Broward's professional development registration system, and register for the WCM Certification course: register in LAB. Do this first - it's how your Certification hours count toward PD credit.

Once you register in LAB, you'll get a link to finish registering on our platform at bcpsmarcomm.com/wcm-registration.

Select Create Your Account

Already have an account? Select Log in instead, right below the Create Your Account button.

Use your @browardschools.com email address

This is your name-based BCPS email, not your P-number - for example, john.doe@browardschools.com. Access is restricted to district email addresses.

You're enrolled

Once your account is created, you are enrolled as your department's Web Content Manager. No prior web experience is required, the certification course and Hot Lab are there to walk you through everything.

Then: Certification

Log in any time at bcpsmarcomm.com/login and complete the Department WCM Certification course at your own pace. When you finish, you get access to your department's WCM audit portal and checklist.

Certification deadline: October 30, 2026. That's how much time you have if you're pacing yourself. If you are newly stepping into the Web Content Manager role, you will need to complete certification sooner, before you are granted access to make any updates.

Getting Help

WCM Hot Lab

Every Tuesday and Thursday at 11:30 AM. Once your director verifies you, you will be added to your department's Teams channel - that is where you access Hot Lab.
Sessions are recorded. Once you're registered, you can review any Hot Lab in your portal, so missing a live session is not a problem.

Feedback button

Between sessions, or any time you hit a snag, use the Feedback button in the bottom right corner of any registration or Certification page. It goes straight to Sean, no need to also post it in Teams or email.

WCM Kickoff: September 10, 2026

WCM Kickoff 2026: Connect • Learn • Lead is confirmed for Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the Pompano Beach Admin Center (610 NE 13th Ave, Pompano Beach, FL 33060). It's an in-person event built to strengthen our WCM community, no synchronous online option, so please plan to attend in person.

Choose the session that works best for your schedule and register through LAB, the same PD-credit system as your Certification course. Seats are limited to 75 per session, so register as soon as you know which time works for you.

AM Workshop — 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

PM Workshop — 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Not sure your director has designated you yet? Reference bcpsmarcomm.com/wcm-roster-signup with them so your Kickoff and Certification registrations are tied to the correct department.
